Dr. Choi Byung-seok, currently serving as Director for IT System for Culture Masters (President Dr. Park, Seong-Yong), was recently appointed as the Chairman and Executive Director of the Organizational Planning Committee of the Korea New Senior Association (KNSA), led by Chairman Jo Wan-kyu, former Minister of Education.

The Korea New Senior Association began its organizational structuring earlier this year and, as regional branches are being established, there arose a need for centralized management of these branches. In response, Choi Byung-seok has been appointed as the Chairman and Executive Director of the Organizational Planning Committee, overseeing the operations of 17 provincial branches and 228 local and special branches nationwide.

Choi Byung-seok, who also serves as CEO of Korea Citizen Co., Ltd., is the Chair of the Member Committee for the Sejongno National Policy Forum, established in 2005 by Chairman Park Seung-joo, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, where he has hosted over 225 monthly breakfast forums. As an artificial intelligence expert, he also heads the AI Public Policy Research Institute and is the publisher of the online newspaper, Korea Citizen Press.

Upon his appointment, Choi remarked that, despite feeling unworthy of such responsibility, he is honored to contribute to the leadership of Korea's 20 million New Senior generation, defined as those aged 45 to 74. He pledged to embody the association’s vision of seniors who strive to serve and relieve the burdens of the younger generation, aiming to create a self-sufficient and responsible senior society for the new era.

He emphasized his commitment to restructuring local branches, aiming to transform the organization from merely a meeting group into a meaningful social service entity that generates sustainable jobs and plays a proactive role in society.

To support this vision, the Organizational Planning Committee will establish a Job Creation Task Force to develop employment opportunities within local branches, create economically sustainable revenue models, and foster the association as a self-sustaining social service organization.

Choi further expressed that Korean New Seniors are dedicated to being a generation that continues to create value for future generations, leading the way for Korea’s new 'K-future.'
