Dr. Anwesa Mahanta was honored with the prestigious "Certificate of Designation as an Arirang Culture Master." for the Year 2024 instituted by "Culture Masters", an international Cultural Organization headquartered in the Republic of Korea.
In recognition of her outstanding qualifications and contributions, Dr. Anwesa Mahanta was unanimously selected by the International Advisory Board to receive the Arirang Culture Masters Designation for the year 2024. The certificate was presented to Dr. Mahanta during a ceremony held in Taarakam, Thalichalam, Trikaripur, Kasargod district of Kerala, India.
Dr. V. Jayarajan, serving as the Secretary General of the ICCN and a distinguished member of Culture Masters' international advisory board, had the privilege of presenting the certificate to Dr. Mahanta.
Before the event, she made demonstrations and Sattriya dance performance to the audience gathered in the Taarakam. Appreciations were showered on Dr. Anwesa Mahanta acknowledging her as a beacon of inspiration and a global ambassador for Sattriya Dance.
The ceremony served as a testament to the power of culture to unite people across borders and generations, reaffirming the importance of preserving and celebrating intangible cultural heritage.

Dr. V. Jayarajan is currently a distinguished member of the Culture Masters International Advisory Board. He is the Founder and Chairman of Folkland, International Centre for Folklore and Culture based in Kerala (https://folkland.org/) and is currently serving as the Secretary-General of ICCN. He grew up in Kerala, India. After completing a bachelor's degree in economics and law from the University of Kerala, he pursued a postgraduate degree in sociology and folklore. He later earned a PhD in social anthropology from the University of Mysore in Karnataka.
Dr. Jayarajan has several years of experience in teaching and research. He has served as the Vice President of the Indian Folklore Congress and has traveled to several countries to deliver lectures on folklore and culture. He is also a visiting faculty member at several universities. Additionally, he serves as the convener of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, Kasaragod Chapter.
He has received numerous recognitions and honors, including Junior and Senior Fellowships from the Ministry of Culture and the William Evans Visiting Lecturer Fellowship from Otago University, New Zealand. Dr. Jayarajan has several published works to his credit and was honored by IGRMS Bhopal with a certificate of appreciation in 2016. He has also served on the expert committee of the Ministry of Culture and the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
