Culture Masters (President Park Seongyong) has officially upgraded its International Advisory Board (IAB) to the International Advisory & Directors’ Board, marking a significant step in its governance and global leadership structure. With this transformation, the first official 16-member Board of Directors from 16 countries has been appointed, reinforcing Culture Masters’ commitment to advancing the global intangible cultural heritage (ICH) sector.

Strengthening Governance and Expanding Global Influence

The decision was finalized by Culture Masters’ Executive Office (EO) to enhance the organization's strategic advisory capacity and decision-making process. The revised structure emphasizes both advisory and governance roles, ensuring that each Director actively contributes to Culture Masters' long-term growth, cultural diplomacy, and sustainable development initiatives.

The 1st Board of Directors will serve a two-year term, from February 2025 to February 2027. Directors who demonstrate significant contributions to the organization may be considered for reappointment at the end of their term, ensuring continuity in Culture Masters’ leadership and vision.

Under this framework, Directors will play a pivotal role in guiding Culture Masters’ major programs, including the Arirang Master Program, the World Intangible Heritage Festival & Contest (WIN), and the 2025-2030 Mid-term Strategy. Furthermore, Directors will have an active voice in international partnerships, cultural policymaking, and corporate engagement.
