The spring sky in April is clear and bright. It is the season when the brilliant sun spreads its warm heat to the earth, adding vitality to all creatures.

Don’t people’s hearts become much softer and brighter, and want to walk outside in light clothing?

This work is reminiscent of a woman’s scarf fluttering in the wind. It is a paper relief that is made by mixing various types of paints on thin paper and mixing charcoal and ink appropriately. When necessary, you can put your hand in and fluff it up to create a relief.

It is very rejoicing to experience the characteristics and charm of Hanji through this work. The base is painted with a mixture of stone powder, and it gives a feeling of contrast with the relief placed on top.

# 빛나는 하늘 아래

빛나는 하늘 아래, 캔버스 위에 장지, 순지 및 혼합재료, 89x73 cm, 2010

4월의 봄 하늘은 맑고 빛이 난다. 찬란한 태양이 따스한 온기를 대지에 뿌려 주어, 만물에 생기를 더하는 계절이다.

사람들의 마음도 한결 부드럽고 밝아져서 가벼운 옷차림으로 밖을 거닐고 싶어 지지 않을까?

본 작품은 바람결에 나부끼는 여인의 스카프를 연상한 것이다. 얇은 순지에 혼합된 여러 종류의 물감을 칠하고, 목탄과 먹이 적절하게 섞여진 것으로 종이 부조에 속한다. 필요할 때 손을 넣어 부풀리면 부조가 되는 것이다.

한지의 특성과 매력을 이러한 작업을 통해 맛보는 재미는 큰 것이다. 바탕은 돌가루분말을 혼합하여 칠했고, 그 위에 얹혀진 부조물과 대조되는 느낌을 주고 있다.

이런 특이한 작업을 볼 때, 황인혜 작가의 다양성과 재치를 충분히 읽을 수 있는 재미있는 작품이다.
