Today, I wish to leave behind a small confession as someone merely passing through this life.
Each day I washed my face, dressed myself, and stood before a mirror.
I believed that image was ‘me’,
But now I see—it was only a garment I wore for a while.
We spend our time, money, affection, and passion on this body.
We wish to be beautiful,
Not to grow old,
Not to fall ill,
And… not to die.
But in the end,
The body pays no heed to our desires—
It gains weight, falls ill, grows old,
And memories slip quietly away,
Until it gently drifts from us.
There is nothing in this world
That I can truly call ‘mine.’
Not the people I love,
Not my children, not my friends,
Not even this very body—
They are all companions that simply passed by.
Everything in life
Is like a passing cloud.
Every encounter—whether bitter or sweet—
Was a part of my journey.
So,
If you cannot avoid it, embrace it.
If something must be done,
Step forward with a heart that says, “Let it be me.”
Not grudgingly, but with joy.
If there is work to do,
Do it today—now.

The affairs of this world
Follow their own natural order.
What we can do is

이 세상의 모든
사랑하는 자녀들에게,
나는 오늘,
이 삶을 지나가는 사람으로서

매일 세수하고, 단장하고,
거울 앞에 서며 살아왔습니다.
그 모습이 '나'라고 믿었지만,
돌아보니 그것은 잠시 머무는 옷에 불과했습니다.
우리는 이 몸을 위해
시간과 돈, 애정과 열정을 쏟아붓습니다.
아름다워지기를,
늙지 않기를,
병들지 않기를,
