글로벌 문화기관 컬처마스터즈(Culture Masters)와 전통문화예술인협회(AACM)는 오는 2025년 12월 8일부터 13일까지 인도 뉴델리에서 개최되는 제20차 유네스코 무형유산 정부간위원회(Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage)**에 대표단을 파견한다.
이번 회의는 인도 정부가 주최하며, 의장은 인도의 주유네스코 대사 비샬 V. 샤르마(Vishal V. Sharma)가 맡는다. 회의에는 유네스코 회원국 정부 대표단, 국제기구, NGO, 무형유산 실연자 및 전문가들이 참석하여 무형유산 보호, 전승, 그리고 지속가능한 발전을 위한 정책 방향을 논의한다.
컬처마스터즈 박성용 대표는 ICCN (Inter-City Intangible Cultural Cooperation Network)과 공동으로 부대행사를 개최할 예정이며, 무형유산 실연자 인증 프로그램인 ‘아리랑 마스터 어워드(Arirang Master Award)’, 그리고 세계무형유산대회(WIN Project)의 국제협력 모델을 소개한다. 이번 부대행사는 ‘디지털 시대의 무형유산 보호와 국제협력’을 주제로, AI와 인간 지능의 조화 속에서 새로운 전승 방식을 모색하는 자리가 될 전망이다.
또한, 행사 기간 중 컬처마스터즈는 국제자문이사회(IAB, International Advisory & Direcors' Board) 멤버 미팅과 함께 ‘아리랑 마스터 시상식(Arirang Master Award Ceremony)’을 진행할 계획이다. 이번 시상식에서는 2025년 하반기 신규 아리랑 마스터로 선정된 예술인들에게 공식 임명장이 수여될 예정이다.

이번 정부간위원회는 전 세계가 직면한 문화다양성, 기후변화, 공동체 회복력 등의 이슈를 다루며, 현지에서는 ‘라자스탄의 칼벨리아 민속노래와 춤(Kalbelia folk songs and dances of Rajasthan)’ 등 인도의 대표적 무형유산 공연도 함께 선보인다.
컬처마스터즈는 “이번 회의를 계기로 한국과 인도를 비롯한 다양한 국가 간 협력의 폭을 넓히고, 세계무형유산 네트워크(WIN)를 통한 국제 문화외교를 한층 강화할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Culture Masters and the Advocacy Alliance for Culture Masters (AACM) — global cultural organizations dedicated to safeguarding and innovating intangible cultural heritage — will participate in the 20th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, to be held from 8 to 13 December 2025 in New Delhi, India.
The session, hosted by the Government of India and chaired by H.E. Mr. Vishal V. Sharma, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of India to UNESCO, will bring together representatives of Member States, international organizations, NGOs, practitioners, and experts to discuss key policies for the protection, transmission, and sustainable development of intangible cultural heritage (ICH).
Dr. SeongYong Park, President of Culture Masters and Advocacy Alliance for Culture Masters, will attend the session and co-organize a side event with Inter-City Intangible Cultural Cooperation Network (ICCN). The event will highlight Culture Masters’ flagship initiatives, including the Arirang Masters Program—a global recognition system for ICH practitioners—and the World Intangible Heritage (WIN) Project, an international cooperation model linking cultural innovation with sustainability. The joint event will explore the theme “Safeguarding Intangible Heritage in the Digital Age: Human and Artificial Intelligence in Harmony.”

In addition, during the Committee week, Culture Masters will host a meeting of its International Advisory Board (IAB) and hold a special Arirang Master Award Ceremony, where newly appointed Arirang Masters for the second half of 2025 will officially receive their certificates of recognition.
The session will also include cultural showcases such as the “Kalbelia folk songs and dances of Rajasthan,” representing India’s vibrant living traditions.
Culture Masters stated, “Our participation in this session aims to strengthen global solidarity through the WIN Network and deepen cooperation between Korea, India, and the international community in advancing living heritage as a source of creativity and peace.”
